ONLINE ORDERING QUIDELINES
Please make sure files are sized to the same size item you selected. We will also needs crops and bleeds on all print files.

In Canva, please follow these instructions:
If you would like your artwork to bleed off the page, please make sure to stretch the background to the edge and follow these instructions. Anything beyond the crop marks will be cut off.
On the menu bar, select Share. Select Download. On the File type dropdown, select PDF Print. Tick the Crop marks and bleed checkbox, the flatten PDF checkbox, and drop down the color profile to select CMYK. Click download.

We can also add crops and bleeds to files for you, but we do charge $5 per file. Please note on the order if you would like to add this to your order. If your order is submitted without crops and bleeds or is not sized appropriately there will be delays on your order. If we add crops and bleeds to your files we will send a new proof for the order that will need to be approved before we move the order to production.
All design services are charged at $1.25 per minute. Please contact us at orders@inkspotstl.com for an estimate.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is a bleed?
A: The image goes to the very edge of the print.
Q: What is a union label?
A: The union label shows that the piece was printed by a union shop and by union employees. Mostly used for political campaign or business purposes.
Q: What file type is needed for my order?
A: We prefer pdf files. We will need crops and bleeds on most files. Please see directions above for how to add those to your file. We can also add these for you but we do charge $5 per file and require a proof approval before printing.
Q: How do I name my file?
A: Please name the file with the dimensions and brief description of what it is.
(ex: 5x7_WeddingInvitation.pdf)
Q: Why is my order delayed?
A: An order may be delayed if artwork does not meet file or print requirements. All turn around times are from final proof approval. (For more information, please click on the "ordering" menu tab, then click on "artwork guide".
Q: What if I need some design help?
A: Artwork needing edits, design, or print setup are subject to a design fee charge of $1.25 per minute. Please note any design changes needed in the "notes" section of the order. Otherwise we will consider the art to be print ready and will send it to production.
Q: What if I need more than 2,500 prints?
A: For quantities over 2,500, please contact us orders@inkspotstl.com for a quote.
Q: What if I don't see an item I need?
A: We are constantly adding new items. If there is an item you would like added, please send us an email at orders@inkspotstl.com
Q: Can you explain the number system?
A: The numbers represent how many colors per side of the paper.
1/0 = Single sided with black ink
1/1 = Double sided with black ink
4/0 = Single sided with full color ink
4/4 = Double sided with full color ink
4/1 = Double sided with full color one side and black ink on the second side.
(any color or amount of color other than black represents full color)
